Delete your StockChat account

This page explains how to delete a StockChat account and what happens to the data. You do not need to be signed in to read it. Deleting the account is permanent.

How to delete your account

  1. Open the StockChat app or stock-chats.com and sign in.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Open Account Security.
  4. Choose Delete Account.
  5. Confirm with your password. If you sign in with Google, Apple, or email and have not set a password, sign in again when asked.

Sign-in stops as soon as you confirm. Posts, comments, and uploaded files are then removed from the live service. If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the address on the account and ask us to delete it.

Deleting the StockChat account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. To stop future Play charges, cancel the subscription in the Play Store as well.

Data that is deleted

  • Your sign-in: email, phone number, password, and Google or Apple sign-in.
  • Your profile: name, username, bio, photo, and cover image.
  • Posts, other than price-prediction posts, and the comments you wrote.
  • Your portfolio, brokerage connection, likes, saves, follows, and notifications.
  • Photos and files you uploaded, including files attached to chat messages.
  • Groups you own. Those groups are closed.
  • Your in-app AI chat history and settings on this account.

Data that is kept

  • Price-prediction posts you published stay on StockChat. They are shown under the name Ghost User, with your profile removed.
  • Text you sent in direct messages and group chats stays so the other people still have the conversation. Your name on those messages becomes Ghost User.
  • If you paid by card through Stripe, we keep the Stripe customer id — not your card number — for 7 years for tax and accounting. It is not shown on a profile.
  • Backups and server logs may still contain residual copies for a limited time.

  1. 打开 StockChat 应用或 stock-chats.com 并登录。
  2. 打开「设置」。
  3. 打开「账号安全」。
  4. 选择「删除账号」。
  5. 用密码确认。如果使用 Google、Apple 或邮箱登录且没有设置密码，按提示重新登录。

确认后会立即无法登录。帖子、评论和上传的文件随后会从正在使用的服务中清除。如果无法登录，请用账号邮箱写给 [email protected]，要求删除账号。

删除 StockChat 账号不会取消 Google Play 订阅。如需停止后续扣费，请同时在 Play 商店取消订阅。

会删除的数据

  • 登录信息：邮箱、手机号、密码，以及 Google 或 Apple 登录。
  • 个人资料：名字、用户名、简介、头像和封面。
  • 除价格预测帖以外的帖子，以及你写的评论。
  • 投资组合、券商连接、点赞、收藏、关注和通知。
  • 你上传的图片和文件，包括聊天里的附件。
  • 你创建的群组。这些群组会被关闭。
  • 此账号在应用内的 AI 对话记录和设置。

会保留的数据

  • 你发布的价格预测帖会留在 StockChat 上，个人资料去掉后，以「已注销用户」显示。
  • 你在私信和群聊里发送的文字会保留，以便其他人仍能看到对话。这些消息上的名字会变成「已注销用户」。
  • 如果通过 Stripe 用银行卡付款，我们会保留 Stripe 客户编号（不是卡号）7 年，用于税务和会计。它不会出现在个人资料里。
  • 备份和服务器日志在有限时间内仍可能留有副本。
